Growing up, I would never have connected love to losing. In my mind the two are totally different and rightly so. However one thing you learn as you live is that the power of love means having the ability to let go. Death is a phase, a season a part of life, one that we cannot control, one we cannot deny and although we know it; dealing with it doesn’t come easy especially when it is close to home like the passing or dying of parent, sibling or child. One thing for certain is that real love doesn’t die. In fact it is love that keeps those who cross over with us. If you have ever wondered what real love is or how it makes you feel, wait til someone you really love dies. It is then you really get the essence of what love is and the power that one can draw from real love.
The love we have for one makes us cling to their spirit, remember their soul and celebrate their life. That love makes us feel them when they are close and long for them at the strangest moments. The power of love is greater than any other feeling we can experience, it makes one hopeful in spite of the circumstance, it makes you warm inside even when the world is cold. The power of love we have for others is the power that makes the person or people we lose live on and never forgotten.
