Over the past six weeks we’ve discussed the aspect of tithing, the importance of it, the discipline in it, the Covenant behind tithing, the obedience in tithing, the faith of tithing and the blessings that our available to us when tithe consistently.  We have learned that one can have opportunities and blessings available that he or she overlooks, ignores because the blessing doesn’t look the way one thinks it should.  We have explored the promises of God made to the tither.  This week as we come to the end, the conclusion of the whole matter; let’s discuss the last promise made to the tither by the ultimate Giver.

Giving 10% means that God allows us to live, thrive on the 90%.  Keep in mind that ANY money made, any money earned is because God allows one or gives one power to obtain wealth.  So God keeps one healthy enough to work, regulates one’s mind to obtain and keep a job and so forth.  He prevents us from going postal on the boss who treats you wrong.  Then He further promises us that He will bless the 90% one is allowed to keep or retain.

Malachi 3:10-11, “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and 1) pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.  2) And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and 3) he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; 4) neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.”

So this week the focus lies right here:  NEITHER SHALL YOUR VINE CAST HER FRUIT BEFORE THE TIME IN THE FIELD, saith the Lord of hosts.   MY! MY! MY!   Timing is EVERYTHING.   Be it business, ministry, family you name it, timing is essential to obtain the response desired, to accomplish any goal!   So God promises here that HE wouldn’t allow one to operate, to perform, to do anything before it time.  What a mighty promise that is.  One of the hardest things for one to do is operate, in the right time or season.  As an entrepreneur, I can definitely relate to this whole heartedly.  Advertising at the right time is crucial, building at the right time even opening a business at the right time means everything.  Looking aggressively for a job in the right season is the difference from landing just any job and obtaining a job with potential for one’s future with opportunity for growth.

So God being the Omnipotent One; says I will allow you into my personal thoughts, my foreknowledge by ensuring that you don’t operate out of season.   So could it be the things that you are trying to do and haven’t be able to get done are because of timing?  It could be that doing it now wouldn’t be profitable or that implementing your plan at this time would mean it goes unnoticed or unappreciated.  It wasn’t or isn’t by accident that God used an agriculture metaphor in this text to explain how HIS Hand would guide your future endeavors.   Protecting the future means protecting one’s hope.  Ensuring that the present day circumstances will not be the everyday circumstances or that it wasn’t designed that way.  It means valuing the process of growing or ascending to the next level in life, the next level in faith, finances and business.  So maybe the current plan isn’t ready, operate in another area.  Remember in one of the earlier discussions, it is mentioned that tithing begins in the Garden of Eden.  The Garden also had four streams that flowed throughout meaning it had everything needed to sustain vegetation to keep it replenished.  Likewise God has within us streams of income.  It is our job to tap into them.  Tithing is the door of opportunity.

To just tithe and then wait for a miraculous blessing to fall from the sky isn’t the way it works.  Many people gather in the four walls of what we call church, Sunday after Sunday and still never learn, appreciate or know what God has for his or her life.  That’s not the way God wants it or intends for it to be, it just happens.  Fear and ignorance teaches one not to question God which makes no sense since HE is the one with the answers!  As if God is intimidated by questions, NOT!  Likewise are those who stopped tithing or questioned tithing because they couldn’t see the value or the promises of it.  This series has and is for YOU!

Understanding is EVERYTHING!  Wisdom is the principal thing so get wisdom but in all thy getting, get an understanding!  Tithing and still broke?  NO not after this series you shouldn’t ever.
