Religion by nature separates.  Religion tends to be strengthen by rules, regulations, ideas and strict concepts.  In religion there aren’t any gray areas, only black and white.  Religion focuses on what a person does and in too many cases its strength lies in one acting or shall I say performing perfectly by a set of rules or standards.  When a person is unable to live up to the standards, religion condemns.  Religion controls, limits, and binds.

The thing about being religious is that it only works as long as it works.  If you are one of the people who live/exist and does no wrong, religion may work for you.  I dare you to add anything to the mix, children or a mate.  It is impossible for a single person to be perfect and when you combine with yourself with a mate you increase the odds of mistakes occurring.  Religion destroys family.  When religion is unable to explain something the reaction is to ostracize.  Why serve something or someone who does not have an answer for life’s dilemmas?

Real worship isn’t about being religious, perfect or trying to hold others to impossible standards not to mention holding his or herself accountable.  God is the only judge who can do that.  People always know when they have done wrong without someone pushing it down his or her throat.  It’s one thing to teach right and wrong but I’m always more impressed with a leader who addresses the real issues people encounter in their everyday life.

God is more concerned with relationship.  A relationship with God is a choice, because it requires one to commune with HIM.  Relationship makes God the center and not man and/or other people.  Relationship builds, will birth confidence, trust, respect, edifies and transforms.  When people come into contact with God it is impossible for him or her to remain the same.  God is inspirational, God is LOVE!

There are a lot of voices, some louder than others.  There is a lot of judgment, pointing of the finger, people making decisions about sin, discussing who is wrong, whose right.  There are a lot of people pushing their personal agendas in the name of God but are really far from His ways.  Relationship teaches, provides information, inspiration and allows people to make their own decision.  In the presence of God there is no need to manipulate because God provides us a choice.  HE is the only one who can make people answer for their choices not man.

When confronted with religion vs relationship, always seek relationship.
