“Oh be careful little mouth what you say, be careful little mouth what you say for the Father up above is looking down in love so be careful little mouth what you say.” “Death and life are in the power of the tongue and he that loveth shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:21
Any way you say it, the mouth, YOUR MOUTH holds soooooooooo much power. The words we say to one another, about one another and even about ourselves are powerful. We know, quote and have been taught “Faith comething by hearing.” Romans 10:17, That doesn’t mean that only faith is acquired by hearing. Doubt heard and spoken to you frequently becomes your faith. You will automatically sabotage things in your life, you will expect the worse instead of looking or hoping for the best. Your body, your mind, your actions will always line up with what you say to you, about you and your situation. You can either be powerful, resourceful, walk in your fullness or you can be weak, influenced and always at the mercy of others. It’s about what you speak!
Some people are more comfortable speaking down, they do it before others do it. It becomes a habit forming initiative and a way to protect his or herself. However, doing so is the equivalent of one committing suicide on a daily, hourly basis. It’s one thing to speak your feelings, that’s okay. NO one is productive all the time, NO one is perfect and everyone has flaws, weaknesses and insecurities. YES! EVERYONE! You would be surprised at the insecurities some of the people you admire must overcome daily to be the hero you deem them to be.
That’s the key though. It’s not about hiding, lying or even ignoring the weaknesses or insecurities; it’s about acknowledging them but not allowing them to limit what you do, and not allowing them to stop you from doing and becoming all you can! Living is all about defying the odds on a regular basis and it begins with what you say to yourself, about yourself daily!
Wake up every day and speak life! Tell yourself daily that no matter what happens to me today, I am equipped to handle it with dignity and pride.
Never allow negativity to have the last word! Even if you mess up, remember to tell yourself, oops did that but that’s not the end, I can fix it!
You’ve been speaking death for too long and then wondering why you aren’t living?! CHANGE YOUR TONE, CHANGE YOUR MESSAGE AND CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
