BRING THE DISCIPLINE WITH YOU!

BRING THE DISCIPLINE WITH YOU

TIME IS MONEY!

How hard are you willing to work for yourself?  Have you given the best of you to others and have nothing left for you?  What excuses do you make about why you can’t do this or do that?  What would you do if failure wasn’t an option?

I told you that last year I had a defining moment that changed or eliminated my fears.  No one wants to fail, that’s obvious but for me, I would rather fail than to never branch out.  It’s okay laugh at me, right now, I’m crying!  I HATE WORKING FOR PEOPLE! I hate dealing with people who say stupid things, tell me things to do that I already know.  I hate having to play to someone’s ego because the intelligence I bring to the job makes them feel insecure!  I hate people micro managing me and above all, I hate the installation of cameras spying on my every move!  Not all jobs are like that and some people are working in their dream job and for that, I say BRAVO!

DISCIPLINE, I thing about the man in the hood getting his hustle on, you couldn’t waste his time!  He wouldn’t let you.  Chitchat wasn’t going to sell his products and if you aren’t buying then he wouldn’t allow you to waste his time!

A lot of entrepreneurs go into business expecting to have more time and that’s the biggest falsehood of entrepreneurship.  It actually requires more to get it off the ground!  Remember, if you don’t do it, it will not get done.  Yep it was easy to be the top dog at the company with a team around you doing the little things but now you have to be the top dog and the little people.   Your support crew is now you!  Dare I mention the family?  The family is supposed to be in support of your new pursuit but be careful because you will go from entrepreneur to honey do list, daddy do list, mommy do list and errand boy; none of those positions pay!

Things you can do:  Just a few tips, more to come

  • Treat yourself as an employee and clock in!
  • Do research while you still work at a job
  • Maximize your time in a day! Set goals to accomplish and don’t stop until they are done. A setback means you put in longer hours for that day.
  • Not everything is an emergency! How would they have done it when you were working?
  • Give yourself PTO days. You can’t take off every step of the way or stop working for everything.
