HAVING MONEY & MONEY having you isn’t the same thing! Part 2

What’s the Difference?

It is often misquoted, because money alone is nothing but a value of paper and coins.  People say, money is the root of all evil and that’s simply not true! There’s nothing wrong with money, wanting money and there is definitely NOTHING WRONG with making money.  However, the love of money” is the root of all evil! That’s Biblical! And truly it is! People who love money are people that will do ANYTHING for it!  That’s scary.  When a person has allowed money to have them; their senses are out of balance where boundaries and limits seem to disappear.  Nothing is off limit.

When money has you, the value of money is viewed both great and less than at the same time. The desire is great so a person who is controlled by his love for money will go to great lengths to obtain money and simultaneously waste it immediately because he or she is abusing the commodity that they love.

When money has an individual, he or she is chasing that dollar.  Money escapes them because it isn’t valued and yet they will continue to run after it.  That need and desire makes the pursuit foolishness and without strategy and like an addict the money that is caught in or from the chase is never enough. A person chasing money is always undisciplined in the distribution of that money and so he or she will always spend more than he or she has and the need continues to increase while the ability to meet the need diminishes. Without discipline, there isn’t strategy and without strategy earning potentials never increase, they only decrease.  NO ONE can make money while flying by the seat of their pants!

On the opposite end of the spectrum, PEOPLE who have money do not love it, but rather respect it.  These are people with perspective. They understand what it is and how it is to be valued. Money is used for its intended purpose, to make a difference, change lives even if the lives changed are their own.  Money isn’t hoarded, there is a budget, and there is discipline and strategy.

People with money do not typically brag about their possessions or the money that they have.  Other people do that for them. In general, they are not always flashy with their money.  Observation of those people will show or demonstrate that they have money because their lifestyle is generally above the average, but again it wouldn’t be their words but maybe their exclusive memberships and material acquisitions would speak for them. Whereas those who chase money tend to be frantic and desperate; the person with money is generally calm and decisions are being made from information and not on whims or emotions.

Money eludes the person who loves it and is controlled by it and it is a magnet to the strategist that is able to be disciplined and manage the money rather than the reverse.

There is nothing wrong with having ambition or a desire for better but when it begins to overtake you, at that point there is trouble.

DON’T LET MONEY CHANGE YOU……..(well in a bad way, that is)
