MONEY ISN’T MAGIC

You can have money and NOT have everything! There was a time when if I had heard this, I would have called it foolish, ignorant and stupid.  When a person is in need of money to tell him or her that it’s not everything when all you can see is just how some money would change your life; sounds ridiculous.  However, regardless of your needs, I can assure you that money isn’t everything and it’s not magic!

Money cannot change a mindset and a person’s mindset IS EVERYTHING!  The way one uses money is determined by the mind.  Often with co-workers that complain about their rate of pay, I find myself questioning the way that they disburse their funds and/or budget their earnings.  It is possible to make money, get raises and still find yourself in a bind.  Getting more money isn’t a concrete answer or goal.  What does it really cost for you to live your current lifestyle?

90% of people do not have this answer.  Now they will guess, some will say that I make enough, I just want more.  That’s a way to avoid answering the question and others will ignore it altogether.  Truth is, most people do not know what they spend daily, weekly, monthly, annually and they definitely have no clue where the money goes.

The title of this, says money isn’t magic and it’s not but it is something about the anticipation of receiving it that makes one feel powerful, almost invincible.  Despite your budget or bills, payday brings an excitement, an energy that is undeniable.  That energy can either be a great thing or a negative thing.  Most of the time, it’s negative.  When emotions dictate how one spends his or her money, there will always be an imbalance of power and distribution.  At that point, money is treated like magic as if it will just appear or increase based on desires or misappropriation of funds.  We would love it if that were the case for real, but that’s not how it works.

The majority of people trade their time for money, so magical funding doesn’t happen.  Generally, people aren’t knocked over by large checks appearing.  That’s not the way careers or jobs are funded.  Once money is disbursed there is time or a waiting period before another check comes.  See, no magic.

Money can’t improve your thinking, or increase your capacity for comprehension.  Money doesn’t make you a bad person or a really good person, it is more of an enhancer, emphasizing the person that you are within.  Money doesn’t make one generous it just provides a means for one to be generous if that’s in them.  Money doesn’t make one famous, intelligent or wealthy for that matter; it is dependent on the holder of it to determine its intrinsic value.  While it has numerical value of $5 or $10, it has no control over the value placed on it by those whose hands it will land.  So money in all hands isn’t equal.

$5 in one person’s hand is a tip, in another person’s it is food for the day and for another investment or savings.  The $5 is only as valuable as the person’s mindset holding that money.

Too often we value the money others have and never look or think about the mindset of the person who made the money valuable.
